MTSU English professor wins ALA book award
MTSU English professor Carl Ostrowski has won the American Library Association’s
Eliza Atkins Gleason Book Award
for his monograph
Books, Maps, and Politics: A Cultural History of the Library of Congress, 1783-1861
.
Dr. Ostrowski previously won the ALA’s Donald G. Davis Article Award for his article, “
James Alfred Pearce and the Question of a National Library in Antebellum America
,” in
Libraries & Culture
, Vol. 35, No. 2, Spring 2000.
